pH and Alkalinity: Ideal pH is between 7.2 - 7.6. The pH should always be adjusted to the proper range before adding Chlorine or other chemicals or their performance will be altered. If the pH is out of the normal range, take a sample to be analyzed.

Adjust pH to 7.2-7.6
Rapid Loss of Chlorine:

Insufficient Stabilizer or Chlorine

A.  Add water conditioner and stabilizer
B. Use slow tabs or quick dissolving tabs
Water Clouds When Chlorine is added:

Calcium Hypochlorite Chlorine

Shock with Di-Chloride
Note: Weather, high use, or excessive amounts of suntan oil quickly change the water's balance. The chlorine tablets can only maintain the chlorine level. The water may require additional shock if the chlorine level drops too low. Test your water frequently!
